Why we started

Hannah Bergstrom spent over a decade working in patient flow and bed management at regional health systems in the Twin Cities — the same ecosystem that includes some of the most operationally sophisticated health networks in the country, from large integrated systems to community hospitals managing 200-300 beds with lean operations teams.

What she saw, over and over, was the same frustration: the data was there. Every patient move, every bed status change, every surgical schedule update — it was all in Epic or Cerner. But the operations teams who needed it — charge nurses, bed coordinators, OR directors — were getting that data hours late, in static reports, or not at all. They were making real-time decisions with yesterday's spreadsheet.
